What is being announced?
Software AG, the global leader in Business Process Excellence, today announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Terracotta, the company behind some of the most widely used software for application scalability and performance.
What does this mean for Terracotta customers?
We view this as a very positive move for Terracotta customers. Through this acquisition, we gain access to Software AG’s:

What does this mean for Ehcache, Quartz and Terracotta open source users? Will you remain open source?
Yes. The open source versions of each project will continue to be maintained and advanced.
Where will the Terracotta team be located?
Terracotta is currently headquartered in San Francisco, California, and maintains offices in New Delhi,
India. There is no plan to relocate the Terracotta team.
